Baby News

We are very happy to announce that Dr Mary Stirrat has given birth to twin boys a bit earlier than expected. They are all doing well and I’m sure everyone will join us in wishing her all the best and look forward to her return in March 2019.

Whilst Dr Stirrat is off we have secured the services of an excellent locum GP, Dr Rachael Crawford, who will be covering the majority of Dr Stirrat’s maternity leave. Dr Crawford will be working every Monday and Tuesday.

There will be some changes to our GP extended hours surgery dates but a notice with the dates will be posted every month in the surgery and on our website.

Home Visits

homevisitsRequests for home visits, if appropriate, should be made by telephone before 10.00 am, on 01250 872552. Home visits are usually done in the morning.

Generally, house calls should only be for the seriously ill/ housebound, and are at the doctor’s discretion. Non-emergency requests received later in the day may be not be done until the following day.

In an emergency, during normal hours, please phone 01250 872552. Between 6.00 pm and 8.00 am, and at weekends, please phone NHS 24 on 111.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
