If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to complete and send the travel form at the bottom of the page at least 6 weeks prior to travelling. The practice nurse will then call you to give you an appointment to discuss your travel arrangements and the vaccines needed.
If you enquire or submit a form within 6 weeks of travelling you will be directed to the private travel clinic in Perth.
You can also visit www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk to find out further health information before travelling abroad.
Please note that there will be a charge for certain vaccines not covered under the NHS. These include Rabies, Japanese B Encephalitis and H1N1* (*for those patients not in an at risk category).
You will pay £20 for a private prescription and £20 for administering the vaccines.
You will also have to pay the pharmacy for the cost of the vaccine. All malaria tablets are out-with the NHS and you may have to pay for a private prescription.
Information about countries and vaccinations required can be found on the links below:
It is important to submit your travel form as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel. Paper forms are available to pick up at reception.
